When I get up first thing in the morning, my dogs need to go outside. So we all go into the backyard and check things out.

This morning there was a beautiful cloud mixed sunrise, so I snapped a picture.

I love the way the sunbeams streak through the clouds, and paint the sky. It looks so pretty shining up from behind the horizon of my neighbor's house.

There are no hills here in the deep southern part of Louisiana, and I mean no hills. But there is lots and lots of sky. And so many trees. The air is clean and fresh (except not so much in summer, hah). At night, you can see dozens of stars when its clear. I missed that so much because in California you have to go way into the desert at night when the smog is clear to see stars.
